Today is a lovely day although it was raining this morning..now sun is shining bright, birds in my garden are singing loud...their feeders probably got wet and they want me to fix them!  My daughter invited me to take pictures of my dog,Schatzie by the Ra...  moreToday is a lovely day although it was raining this morning..now sun is shining bright, birds in my garden are singing loud...their feeders probably got wet and they want me to fix them!  My daughter invited me to take pictures of my dog,Schatzie by the Railroad Trains for a photoshoot she is doing for a new Senior magazine in town.  Schatzie got to wear a Railroad cap and a red bandana.  She sits pretty quiet, when I get a copy of picture, I will share it with you all.  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a joyous Sabbath tomorrow!  less

    This little fawn was born inside my horse paddock shortly after I sold my last horse. The doe left her alone all day. I watched and worried that she had been abandoned, and even called the DNR to see what I should do about it. They assured me that the...  moreThis little fawn was born inside my horse paddock shortly after I sold my last horse. The doe left her alone all day. I watched and worried that she had been abandoned, and even called the DNR to see what I should do about it. They assured me that the mother always leaves her fawn the first two weeks as the baby leaves no scent, thus predators stay away.
    Dusk came, and the doe did return and slowly grazed around the back of the barn making her way to the gate that I had opened after I found the little fawn.
    From the kitchen window, I watched her call, the fawn got up, hobbled out of the gate to the mom who was waiting just outside. After nursing and licking the fawn for the next 15 minutes, mama started heading slowly to the edge of the corn field. When baby started to return to the paddock, mama circled around her, nudging her gently as does a broodmare, until the baby followed..and then laid down again in the thick grass at the edge of our property.     Anita Frauenshuh → Cinde Tadlock: You have been added to my prayer for the day, friend in Jesus Christ.  God grant you peace, joy and laughter.  Remember, He wants us to be happy, and all we have to do is ask and we shall receive the desires of our heart.  I like to remember when my child...  moreYou have been added to my prayer for the day, friend in Jesus Christ.  God grant you peace, joy and laughter.  Remember, He wants us to be happy, and all we have to do is ask and we shall receive the desires of our heart.  I like to remember when my children were little and would ask for something they would see other kids playing with.   We could not always afford what they had asked for, but this did not stop them (especially our middle child)  Seems like eventually her persistance would pay off, and sacrifices were made, but sometimes it was worth it to see the joy on her face after waiting a long time for it.  Keep your prayer always before our Father, even if it seems like he might not hear..He does answer each and every prayer.   Never loose faith in His promises!  less
