Hi Holly,
Yes, it is VERY difficult working with a person that seems to drag every one down, Even harder if it's a family member. You are stronger than the "contention and strife" that she may bring! Greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world. You can do this!! All you have to do is be Willing. Proverbs 15:18 says, "A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger appeases (overcomes, makes peace with) contention. Remember Ephesians 6:12, "For we wrestle not against Flesh and Blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." Look at contention and strife as brothers, they are NOT welcome in your presences. Jesus lives in you! Look out devil! I am the righteousness of God in Christ and you have NO authority to be where I am at!! Believe that in your heart and say it out loud! Do whatever it takes to LOVE that sister-in-law. Put Jesus on her face and treat her as He would, tell yourself, Out Loud, that you Love her UNconditionally!! Forgive her for the way she treats you. Do this everyday! Do this in your car on the way to work, or another place with just you and your Jesus. Yes, it's awkward, and difficult, and maybe feels horrible to do, but you need to tell your heart to tell your mind to tell your mouth what to say! Put the Word of God on your circumstances! Believe for those changes. Jeremiah 1:12 says "He hastens (watches over) His word to perform it." Speak His word over her. Love her, give her a reason to want what YOU have! That's Jesus in YOU! Gosh, I could go on an on, but I'm here for you! I truly do understand what your going through. Talk to me anytime "k" It's always great to have someone who cares about what we go through!!
God Bless!
