The psychological and spiritual condition of our nation has brought us to where we are today, economically, and otherwise. We stopped powerfully focusing on these qualities and are at best mediocre in them.Instead, we turned and began powerfully focusing on something else: gain and attain to put it mildly. When we turned our power of focus to gain and attain, we lost track of positve focus, and thereby lost track of ourselves and our original (raison d'etre) reason for being.
We said not just politics, but political strategy, not just national-economic expansion but international-economic expansionism. We turned our focus to warring, because we said conquor or be conquored. But most of it, if not all of it, has been made up out of whole cloth by some in their own imaginations. While some only wanted to gain and attain monetarily, others wanted more. The confusion of multiple and conflicting purposes, the misinterpretation, and mis-appropriation of power, and information only shows that gain and attain are relative terms. Where does it end, where does it rest? When is pure satisfaction itself attained? When and where does the concept of enough kick in? Live and let live?
So that, by all these things, we have lost our perspective on how to achieve the very goals we seek. To live in a world of peace & security. As peacefully and securely as possible, as much as lies within each of us, one being left alone by the other in order to do so! If there is one or two problems in the world, those who say they seek peace should not join in the malestrom, as well!
Sometimes, but not always should one seek to win by wars; there are other ways to win, both at home and abroad. We must conquor the demons of our own psyche that drives in wrong directives.
Our wills and our goals are not the only ones to be considered; there are Higher Goals, and those are not achieved by continual malestrom, and upheaval.
In order to get a hold on our situation, and on ourselves, let's have another look at our present, and re-determine our future, by tracking the spiritual past.
